7. FrightFest in London, UK

10: Neve Campbell

Campbell shook audiences to their core with her role in “Scream” and reprised the role with three sequels. 8: Adrienne King

King was the first victim in “Friday the 13th” and her death scene is still one of the most memorable in horror movie history. She reprised her role in three sequels, as well as appearing in “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3”. After retiring from acting in 1994, she became a real estate agent.

7: Heather Langenkamp

Langenkamp played Nancy Thompson in “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and reprised the role in three sequels. She has since retired from acting to spend time with her family, but did voiceover work for Wes Craven’s “Red Eye”.

6: Jennifer Jason Leigh

Leigh is known for her roles in “The Hateful Eight”, “Single White Female” and “Last Exit to Brooklyn”. However, she is probably best known for her role as Annie Brackett in “Halloween III: Season of the Witch”.

3: Sophie Turner

Turner skyrocketed to fame with her role as Sansa Stark on HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones”. However, she is also known for her portrayal of Jean Grey in “X-Men: Apocalypse” and her roles in other horror films.

2: Daisy Ridley

The Mortuary in New Orleans is located right across the French Quarter. This haunted house has two stories of horror that are literally stacked on top of each other to provide one big scare for visitors. Countless people have described being so scared while here, they’ve soil themselves…right there in front of everyone. If you go, be prepared for some intense scares in a very realistic setting.

3) The Darkness: St. Louis, Missouri, USA

The Darkness is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis and has been scaring people since 1995. The 13th Gate in Baton Rouge is arguably one of the most detailed haunted houses in the world. There are plenty of different scenes to experience, all while being surrounded by state-of-the-art special effects. Actors are also known for being very interactive and often make use of props and animatronics to really scare visitors.

8) Tulsa Hex House: Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Oklahoma is home to one World’s Scariest Haunted Houses in the form of Tulsa Hex House. This haunted attraction has two separate scenes to experience, with its second being built over an actual cemetery. Lost Souls Alley is located in the heart of downtown Kraków, Poland. There are also some pretty terrifying characters who come out at night, including one called “Slasher Man” who is sure to give you a good scare.

The Haunted Plantation is located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and is open throughout October every year. This World’s Scariest Haunted House is home to all kinds of different frights, including a section where you have to walk through a dark forest filled with zombies. 11)  Super Scary Labyrinth of Fear: Yokohama, Japan

Considered as Japan’s longest and scariest haunted house, the Super Scary Labyrinth of Fear has something to scare everyone. You’ll have to navigate inside an abandoned hospital, and roam around almost 1km of creepy hallways, gruesome operating rooms and haunted wards.

The haunted house is inspired by a true-life tale about a hospital where doctors began taking organs from their patients. You’ll be chased down by a mad doctor wielding a bloody scalpel, and have to try to escape from the clutches of a chainsaw-wielding psycho.

Instead, the child is a murderous bundle of terror that will stop at nothing to get what it wants. The orphan also has an extremely powerful ability: self-healing! This film is particularly interesting because there’s no paranormal element; it’s just pure old fashioned horror and suspense.

2) Morbius (2022)

This horror film is based on the Marvel comics character of the same name. The film is set to be released in July of 2022 and tells the story of a scientist who, after being bitten by a vampire, turns into a bloodthirsty creature himself. 

The film is expected to be extremely gory and will probably have a lot of action scenes. It is definitely one to watch out for if you’re a fan of the horror genre.

3) Scream (2022)

This upcoming horror film is set to be released in January of 2022. The film serves as the fifth installment of the Scream film series, and was originally slated to be released in 2020, but has since been postponed twice.

4) Halloween Ends (2022)

This horror film is set to be released in October of 2022. The film tells the story of a group of friends who, after being terrorized by a madman on Halloween night, are forced to face their fears and take matters into their own hands.

5) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

This upcoming horror film is set to be released in February 2022 on Netflix. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was one of the first films that really terrified audiences, and this one seems like it’s going to live up to its predecessors!
