Jason Voorhees was the popular villain in the Friday the 13th movie series. His main role was following around his victims and sneaking up on them before murdering them. Jason underwent some transformations before he appeared wearing the hockey goalie mask in Friday the 13th Part III. In his reappearance in the movie Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, Jason possessed supernatural powers that he became almost invincible.
JASON VOORHEES’ APPEARANCES
In 1980, Jason Voorhees first appeared in Friday the 13th. He came out as Mrs. Voorhees son and a delusion seen by the protagonist, Alice. Then, he next appeared in Friday the 13th 2, where a supposedly dead Jason came back to life and killed Alice’s mother as revenge. He then moved back to Crystal Lake where he started killing again after a few years. The movie ended with the sole survivor, Ginny, burying a machete on Jason’s shoulder before leaving him to die. Friday the 13th Part III showed a wounded Jason trying to recover from his injuries. He stayed in a barn and killed anyone who mistakenly entered his premises. Jason took a mask from one of his victims and wore it as he killed the rest of the group one by one. However, the movie ended with an axe being buried by the lone survivor, Chris, on Jason’s head.
In Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Jason woke up in a morgue before started a killing spree as he tried to go back to Crystal Lake. Meanwhile, in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, Roy Burns disguised himself as Jason and in Friday the 13th: Jason Lives, the real Jason was accidentally resurrected by Tommy, the last person who survived his murder spree. Tommy defeated him by luring and chaining him to boulder at the bottom of Crystal Lake.
In Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Jason was released from his chains by Tina Shepard who was trying to bring her dead father back to life. In Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason came back to life and followed some students who were doing a field trip in Manhattan. It was followed by another appearance in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday where after being killed by the FBI, Jason stayed alive by transferring his heart to other people.
In Jason X, Jason was discovered to have regenerative capabilities and science experts decided that they only way to subdue him was through cryonic suspension. After killing a number of people inside the facility where he was detained, Jason was finally apprehended but after at least 400 years in cryonic suspension, his body was brought along by a screw in their spacecraft. He woke up just to start killing everyone on board the vessel.
In Freddy vs Jason, Jason fought a bloody battle with Freddy of A Nightmare on Elm Street Series when Freddy resurrected him and fooled him into starting a killing spree in Springwood.
A reboot of the original Friday the 13th put some twist on the original story. Here, Jason held hostage a girl who resembled his mother and killed anyone who came nearby Crystal Lake.
