Release date: January 20, 2017
This film is high concept. Psychopaths with 27 split personalities can change their physical appearance. We rolled out eyes when we heard about it because M. Night Shyamalan doesn’t have the best track record recently. But maybe he’ll get back to basics with this one. The film stars James McAvoy who looks great in the trailer.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

The six and final chapter comes out in January.  All the usual suspects are back. It will be available in 3D and IMAX. The much delayed film has been confirmed as the final installment.  The film was supposed to go into production immediately following Resident Evil: Retribution but after it was delayed a few times and then Milla Jovovich got pregnant causing further delays.  Also Milla Jovovich stunt double was severely wounded during the production causing her to have her arm amputated.

A Cure for Wellness

Release date: February 17, 2017

The trailer for this one looks great.  Directed by Gore Verbinski who you should know from directing The Ring and Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise. The film is listed as a psychological thriller but the trailer does have horror elements and the director at least has a horror track record. A company sends in a young exec to retrieve the CEO from a mysterious wellness center.  And things don’t go as planned.  Or maybe we should say things go badly. This is the most interesting of the bunch in our opinion.

Get Out

Bradley Whitford playing what looks to be the bad guy. You might know him from The West Wing. This films looks like it has a unique social commentary on racism as well as the potential to be very disturbing with a strong Horror element. The film is written and directed by Jordan Peele who has a background in comedy on MadTV and is making his directorial debut. Most of his credits are acting based. Really strong trailer check it out and look for it when it opens in February.

Annabelle 2

Our favorite possessed Doll is back.  Well maybe second favorite if you are a Chucky fan. You are probably already familiar with the Conjuring franchise so this one needs little introduction.
